NCAA Provided NBA Pre-Draft Resources

For any CBPA parents looking for information on the NBA pre-draft process, the NCAA has provided four resources:

Updated information related to the 2021 National Basketball Association pre-draft process.

On March 30, the NBA announced the following key dates related to the 2021 NBA pre-draft process:   

  • NBA Draft Early Entry Application Deadline – May 30 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
  • NBA Draft Combine – June 21 through June 27.
  • NBA Draft – Thursday, July 29.

 Additional information regarding the 2021 NBA Draft and Combine, including the location for each event, will be announced as details are finalized.

Note: In order to retain NCAA Division I eligibility, NCAA rules require a men’s basketball student-athlete to:

  • Request an evaluation from the NBA’s Undergraduate Advisory Committee before entering the draft and hiring an NCAA certified agent; and
  • Withdraw from the NBA Draft and declare, in writing to his director of athletics, his intent to resume intercollegiate participation not later than July 7, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
